B'ville man elected Fulton Savings Bank trustee

Thomas J. Johnston III of Baldwinsville has been elected a member of the board of trustees of Fulton Savings Bank.

"We are pleased to welcome Tom Johnston to the bank board. He is an individual recognized as a well known business leader in our area community," said the bank's Chairman of the Board, Millard S. Sullivan.

Johnston is a vice president of Johnston's Propane Gas Service in Fulton, a company that distributes propane gas in bulk and cylinder form to commercial and residential customers a three county area in Central New York. He joined the family owned company, which traces its corporate history back to 1875 when Johnston's Hardware was started in Fulton by his great-grandfather, in 1980.

A Fulton native, Johnston graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School and continued his education at Syracuse University where he earned a B.S. in business administration. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, Psi Psi Chapter at SU. He is an active member of the National Propane Gas Association.

Johnston and his wife, Corrine, reside in Baldwinsville with their three children, Mallory, Matthew and Bradley.

"Tom Johnston is a well known and respected businessman and resident of our local area, and his association will be a valuable asset to the board of the bank," said Fulton Savings President and CEO Michael J. Pollock.
