Public hearing tonight on Cicero zoning issue

The Cicero Town Board will host a public hearing for the consideration of a request to have a parcel of property rezoned.

The request was made by SEAYCO-THF Cicero Market, LLC, to rezone the east side of Route 11 between Lincoln Avenue and Stevens Drive, from a regional commercial to a regional general commercial zone.

Several residents have been in opposition to any and most activity for this parcel of town property because of proximity issues that have been ongoing for about five years.

The hearing that was postponed from the April 14 agenda will be held during the Town Board's regular meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 28 at Town Hall.

Cicero Supervisor Judy Boyke said this public hearing has been long over due, and that "residents will have many questions and comments on the issue."

Boyke said she believes the zone change request will be passed at tonight's meeting.

The full meeting agenda can be found at ciceronewyork.net.
