The Liverpool Central Board of Education held a regular board meeting at 7 p.m. Monday April 26.
In memory of Patricia Mouton, the board recognized that the LHS Library be dedicated to her memory. The library will no be known as the Pat Mouton Memorial Library.
Mouton's untimely death during a March BOE meeting left much of the community in shock and at a loss, said Superintendent Dr. Richard N. Johns in a past interview with the Star-Review.
In other business
Johns recommended the board approve the 2010-11 BOCES election, as did the North Syracuse Board of Education.
The Liverpool BOE acknowledged the following gifts and grants: A mini-grant of $1,740 from the Rochester Institute of Technology for the district's participation in the Project Lead the Way program; $500 from the Macerich Management Company Special Events Grant; a $2,000 Robotics Grant from Lockheed Martin and a $10,000 Robotics Grant from the UTC Carrier, which has been the sponsor of the LHS Robotics Team for the past 13 years.
The district will host a public hearing to discuss the 2010-11 school budget at 6:30 p.m. at the District Office. The regular work session will follow.
