Great OCPL Read Aloud will be held on April 28

More than a dozen adult students will raise their voices to celebrate the joy and importance of reading when they participate in The Great Onondaga County Public Library (OCPL) Read Aloud on April 28.

Students in adult education programs, plus adults working with tutors through Literacy Volunteers of Greater Syracuse, will read a favorite poem, a passage from a much-loved book, or a piece they've written themselves; or they will speak about how reading has enriched their lives.

The Read Aloud will begin at 10 a.m., April 28, in the Curtin Auditorium of OCPL's Central Library, and is free and open to the public. The library is located at 447 S. Salina Street. Call 435-1835 or visit OCPL's website, www.onlib.org, for more information.
