B'ville school puts students to work

Elden Elementary students (from left) Peter Fiorini, Gabrielle Blais and Ben Long count inventory at the school store. Fourth-graders run the store in the morning before school begins selling items such as pens, pencils, glue sticks and folders. To be considered for the positions of sales associate, merchandiser, auditor, graphic artists and announcement team, students who were interested in working at the store were required to fill out a job application. The fourth-graders are sharpening their math and organizational skills as they work in the various positions.
