Cazenovia future farmers plan for year ahead

The Cazenovia Future Farmers of America Chapter has been busy planning for the year ahead. Already we have had some great meetings, and participated and competed in FFA activities with other FFA Chapters. In January the FFA Chapter had several members who went to MFE (Made for Excellence) and ALD (Advanced Leadership Development). Ashley Winn, Danielle Mevec, Haley Bargabos, Marian Foster, Lindsay Loeper and Sammi Marti all had a great time at MFE while Becca Hahn, Jon Furness and Molly Woodworth had an equally great time at ALD.

On Thursday Feb. 11 at VVS High School, the Caz Aggies competed against other chapters in Extemporaneous Speaking, Creed Speaking and Job Interview. Following the Individual Leadership contest was the Team Leadership contest February 24th in our very own Cazenovia. The Parliamentary Procedure team won first place and the Caz FFA chapter is very proud. From Cazenovia, the Parli Pro team competed at Sub-states at Cornell where they placed second. All the FFA members made some new friends as well!

Looking ahead in this FFA year brings anticipation for what's to come! Coming up very soon is the famous Cazenovia FFA Pancake Breakfast. The annual breakfast will be held Friday April 16th in the small gym at Caz High School. The breakfast will start at 7 am and continue through the day until 1 pm. The FFA chapter hopes to see everyone there! Also coming up is the state competition in which the Agriculture Mechanics team and the Food Science team will be competing at State Convention will be held in Cobleskill, NY. The Cazenovia FFA chapter is looking forward to these events and the events to come.
