Oneida couple killed in motorcycle crash

An Oneida couple are dead after the motorcycle they were on collided with a freight train shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday evening.

State police, Oneida County Sheriffs and the Verona FD arrived at the scene just after five, to find the green kawasaki ninja the two were on laying in the middle of Fox Road.

The bodies of a 39-year-old drive and his female passenger, 37, were found off of the west shoulder of the road. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Names have not been released, and it is still unclear whether the two ejected from the bike into the train, or hit by the train while riding.

The investigation is continuing.
