At a meeting Monday night, the VVS School Board approved a $32.3 million budget.
Superintendant Norman Reed said his concerned was with the continuance of quality education and programs for students as well as the community's capacity to pay for it.
A spending increase of one percent is proposed, and Reed also added that the board will be reasonable and responsible in their decision to increase the tax levy.
The district will be lessening equipment purchases, and will be purchasing two buses rather than three; saving nearly $100,000.
While some programs will be modified, no programs will be cut, and no there will be no cuts to staff as well.
The next board meeting will take place April 26 at 5 p.m.
