Syracuse man arrested in DeWitt homicide

DeWitt Police arrested Henry M. Williams, 30, of 101 Trinity Place in Syracuse, yesterday, April 10, in connection to a homicide investigation that commenced the same day.

Around 2:30 p.m., Lashonda M. Graves, 30, of DeWitt, was found dead in a car located in a parking garage at the Springfield Gardens Apartment Complex off Caton Drive in DeWitt.

According to police officials, Williams admitted he and his girlfriend Graves were having a dispute, which resulted in Williams shooting Graves. Williams fled to an address on Westcott Street in Syracuse where he called 911.

This call sent the Syracuse PD to Westcott Street and DeWitt Police to the area of Thompson and Springfield roads to look for the reported body in car.

Williams was charged with murder in the second degree. He was arraigned by Justice Robert Jokl and was remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center with no bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 16 in DeWitt Town Court.
