Salina Free Library in Mattydale presents a full week of special programs and activities for children and teen during spring vacation.
The Adirondack Museum visits Salina Free Library at 10:30 a.m. Monday April 19. Learn about the creatures that live in the woods and waters of the Adirondack region from a museum educator. This program is for kids ages 4 to 12.
Are your new summer flip flops or canvas shoes a little boring? Got a plain-looking pair of socks that need new life? Bring them to the library between 2 and 4 p.m. Tuesday April 20. Add some color and sparkle to those summer shoes, and turn those boring socks into cool slipper socks. Staff asks that attendants bring a clean item to decorate. This program if for kids ages 5 and up.
Enjoy a newly released children's movie on the library's big screen at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. The movie is for children ages 6 and older.
Attend Earth Day Crafts and create fun toys that are powered by the wind at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 22. This Earth Day event is for children ages 7 and older. Pre-registration is required for this event.
Enjoy Family Game Night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday April 22. Stop in and play a variety of board games and video games. This event holds fun for the whole family.
Spring is here, bringing the birds back to Central New York. Welcome them back by making a colorful bird feeder at 2 p.m. Friday April 23. This program is for ages 5 and up.
