Floyd Bailey, a substitute teacher in the Marcellus School District, was arrested after police said he had inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old boy. Bailey, age 70, of 23 Kinderwood Lane, Marcellus, taught in the district for 30 years before retiring and staying on as a substitute. According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, Bailey was charged with committing a felony criminal sex act, misdemeanor sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in the village of Marcellus and has posted $10,000 bond. The sheriff’s Abused Persons Unit continues to investigate this case and would like to hear from any individuals who may have had contact with Bailey.
