During the spring break, the Jamesville-DeWitt girls lacrosse team traveled to Maryland for two games, and won them both. Lauren Swan also found the net three times as Taylor Bierwagen and Morgan Freeman earned two goals apiece. Ally Loewy had a goal and two assists as Tori Nies, Taylor Fallon and Katie Daly each had one goal and one assist. Amanda Wynn and Frannie Haunfeiner also had goals. As J-D traveled, East Syracuse-Minoa stayed at home, improving its mark to 6-2 (with both losses coming to the Red Rams) by handling Homer last Tuesday in an 11-4 decision. It was close for a while, the Spartans only leading 5-3 at halftime before gaining a majority of the draws and wearing down the Trojans in the second half. Allyson Rossi outscored Homer by herself, putting in five goals. Marlee Vlassis matched the point total with three goals and two assists, while Alyssa Anderalli scored twice, adding a pair of assists. Alayna Davis got the other goal as Liz Stratton and Alex McEachron earned assists. ESM goes to New Hartford Tuesday and is home Thursday to face Cortland, while J-D has its own test with New Hartford Saturday, two days after playing at Homer.
