Moving to 3-1 on the season, the Liverpool boys tennis team picked up an important win on Thursday afternoon, breaking up the undefeated mark of West Genesee and beating the Wildcats by a score of 5-2. Strong in singles play, the Warriors got three wins, starting with Joe Corcoran routing Mike Webster 6-0, 6-1 and Chris Brais doing the same to Tanner McGuire 6-0, 6-1. Anthony Taormina lost in straight sets to Erik Breault 6-3, 6-1. Cicero-North Syracuse turned around Thursday and blanked Nottingham 7-0, never losing a set in any of the matches agains the Bulldogs. Mark Fallinski beat Aisles Baka 6-1, 6-1, while Kevin Tubolino got past Collen O’Kief 6-2, 6-0 and Caleb Bowers earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Josh Feldman. In doubles, the teams of Dan Greco-Brandon Collins, Anthony Mann-Kyle Brunson, Dan Schiarino-Andrew Yankay and Tyler Smith-Phillip Knoop all won with relative ease.
