"Take a Ride Through History," a guided bus tour through the Chittenango area to benefit the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum, takes place Saturday Oct. 17. Two departure times are scheduled. The first tour starts at 8:45 a.m. and returns at noon. The second departs at 12:45 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m. The tour bus leaves from and returns to the Town of Sullivan Parks and Recreation Office on Lakeport Road.
The tour includes a PowerPoint presentation of historic Chittenango by Dick Sullivan, village historian, first person interpreters at stops on the bus tour, light refreshments provided by the Chittenango Garden Club, and discount tickets to local eateries. Transportation funded by Sullivan Chamber of Commerce. The fee is $12 per person, prepaid. Deadline for reservations is Sept. 30th. Children ages 9 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
