OHC FOLLIES ready to meet the director

Maria Skinner, Talent Chairman for the OHC Auxiliary FOLLIES, is gearing up for the Meet The Director Party at 7 p.m. Monday Oct. 5 at the Oneida Elk's Club on Main Street in Oneida. Her committee is recruiting all past and future cast members to come meet our new director and set sail for a tropical island adventure comedy show! Whether you sing or dance, or have a hidden talent, everyone is invited to participate.

The show this year will be under the direction of a new company, Christopher Allen Productions. The company brings a director and choreographer along with music, a great comedy show and exciting new costumes. Christopher Fettig, the director, is anxious to work with the Oneida area community which has a rich tradition with FOLLIES performances. The first FOLLIES was produced in 1977 and this year will be the 12th anniversary of the fund raising event for the hospital auxiliary.

Proceeds from ticket sales, advertising and patrons will benefit the OHC "Healthcaring Campaign" and more specifically the renovations to the Emergency Department at the local hospital. The ED has seen a steadily increasing usage during the last several years and will be undergoing major renovations during the second phase of the hospital's present expansion project.

If you can't be in the show, Ticket Chairman, Jackie Keller, suggests that you can support the Auxiliary by attending one of the performances. Tickets can be purchased in the lobby of the hospital from 8am until 8pm and all seats are reserved. Call ahead for tickets and Jackie and the hospital volunteers will deliver them curbside to avoid parking during the construction project.

Major sponsors of this year's show include Clark, Patterson and Lee, The Gorman Foundation, The Howard and Bess Chapman Foundation, The Kent Family, Oneida Financial Corporation and Oneida Healthcare Radiology Associates. The Auxiliary has dedicated FOLLIES 12 to Mr. James Devine and Dr. Asa Smith in honor of all their years of service to the hospital and Oneida area community.

For more information and ticket sales please call 361-2049, 264-1447 or 363-5908. FOLLIES will be presented at Oneida High School on October 22nd, 23rd, and 24th at 8pm. Tickets are $10 each.
