Councilor Ronald Dudzinski has scheduled a second canal clean-up day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Oct. 24 along the Erie Canal between Memphis and the town of Camillus. Volunteers should bring clippers, handsaws and gloves to help remove brush between the town trail and the canal.
Clippings will be mulched and removed by the town's highway department. Dudzinski said if people are interested, but are not available that Saturday, they are welcome to clear out the brush during the week. For more information, contact Claude Sykes at 635-3009 or e-mail email@example.com.
