Sergeant Stevens says ...

Drivers need to be reminded that it is New York State Law to stop for pedestrians crossing in a designated crosswalk and pedestrians need to make sure drivers see them when entering into the crosswalk.

Arrests for the week:

Anthony P. Wood, 32, PO Box 82, Port Byron, was charged Sept. 18 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating while registration is suspended or revoked.

Phyllis A. Lukowski, 49, 170 VanAnden St., Auburn, was charged Sept. 18 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and disobeying traffic control device.
