Nearly 500 Camillus residents voted in the Republican primary Tuesday to decide which councilors would represent the fifth and sixth ward on the Republican ballot in November.
Incumbent Sixth Ward Councilor David Callahan beat challenger Donald Fittipaldi, 181 to 95. Fittipaldi was endorsed by the Conservative party and intends to run on the Conservative line in the general election.
In the fifth ward, challenger Richard Griffo defeated incumbent David Cooke, 117 to 90. Cooke also won the Conservative endorsement and is expected to run on the ballot.
