The GM Kruzzers Car Club from Brewerton and the Dream Machines Car Club from Baldwinsville each recently contributed $1,500 to the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center.
Part of the proceeds from the Syracuse Nationals event and the Right Coast Association each year is donated to local charities with each car club able to choose a charity. Over the past ten years, the Syracuse National organization has donated more than $360,000 to worthy CNY and national organizations.
Dream Machines Car Club also made a donation using proceeds from their car show held in Baldwinsville Aug. 16.
"We firmly believe that community service and volunteerism is a key and vital part of our area and we strongly support those who sacrifice and donate their time to these causes, specifically the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center," said Paul Grace, a member of the GM Kruzzers.
The mission of the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center is to mobilize people and resources to meet community needs. In thanking members from both of the Car Clubs, BVC Board President Trish Hipolito said, "these very generous donations will help sustain our school-based mentoring program, senior transportation and especially our Christmas Bureau program, which helps families with food and gifts."
