Susan A. Machamer, co-owner of Cazenovia Jewelry, will have two of her own jewelry designs featured in Lark Books publications this fall and next year.
“Spiral Earrings,” a design for earrings fabricated in 14-karat yellow gold, will be featured in “30-Minute Earrings,” which should come out this fall. Machamer’s necklace design, “Ribbon Necklace,” will be featured in “30-Minute Necklaces,” which will come out in 2010. The design is fabricated from 14-karat yellow gold with three white cultured pearls.
Machamer primarily works in the Cazenovia location of Cazenovia Jewelry, though spends some time in the Fayetteville store. She frequently collaborates with customers on custom designed jewelry pieces.
“I enjoy designing one-of-a-kind pieces, using unusual gemstones,” Machamer said.
Her jewelry is currently for sale at Cazenovia Jewelry’s Cazenovia and Fayetteville locations.
A showcase of some of her work can be found at cazjewelry.com.
Machamer has a metalsmithing degree from Syracuse University and a graduate gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America. She is also an adjunct professor at nearby Cazenovia College.
