Best Bets at Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament

The Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday Oct. 28 at the Onenter in Syracuse, featuring the 126th National Horse Show, world-class riders and tons of equine events for the whole family.

Here are three free Best Bets:

Halloween Exhibition Hall will be a great place for families all day, and best of all, it's free. There will be a wide variety of activities geared to kids, including petting and hanging out at Kids Corral with the mini-horses, face painting, guided crafts, games, and more than 50 vendors will have candy and treats for trick or treater. Costumes encouraged. It's safe, warm inside and dry! Also, the stars will be on hand, several riders giving autographs and several of the star horses.

First Annual I love New York Horses art show Lower Atrium, Oncenter. This has been an ongoing juried art show for kids K-12 and an open division for adults using all media. It has been co-sponsored by the Everson Museum of Fine Art and Cazenovia College. Exhibition of all works are from October 27 to Nov. 1. An Opening will be held with the artists at 6 p.m. on Oct. 29. Lower Atrium, Oncenter.

Silly Pets Trick Contest Tricks and costumes by local pets of all paws, feathers, hooves, scales, etc. beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday Oct. 31. Winners perform Sunday during the final competition. Lisa Chelenza of Pet Pointers and TK99 will be on hand to judge and meet fans. First round on Saturday.
