Preparing for Christmas season -- volunteers, donations needed

It may be only October, but the Christmas Bureau Board from the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center is already thinking about Christmas and the needs of the community. Many members of the board worked all summer preparing for the gift giving that will happen in December. They are seeking your donation of gift items, help at the drop off center and getting the word out in the community. This year the drop off center has been moved to the former Dollar General store in Smokey Hollow Plaza. The drop off dates will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays from Dec. 1 to 19. Won't you please help? Questions can be directed to the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center at 638-0251. The 2009 Christmas Bureau Board includes (back row, from left) Bob Johnson, Sue Downey, Annette Mott, Sue McKee, Carol Lewis, Jeanne Pray, Phyllis Straub, Sandy Zaczek, Nancy Conley, Janet Therrien, Jo Pelcher, (front row, from left) Bonnie Kisselstein, Sandy Baker, Liz Bates, Rita Boivin, Lauri Bernstein, Nancy Porter, coordinator, Jean Baumann and Marilyn Ibbitson.
