Why are you running for re-election on the DeWitt Town Board?

I am committed and dedicated to our community. I am not only a longtime resident of DeWitt, but also own Sunshine's Coffee Shop which has been located in the town of DeWitt for 30 years.

Name at least two key issues happening within the town that concern you and please describe what you would like to do to address them, if elected.

With the unstable economy, our business climate is very difficult. It is my priority to encourage smart growth and development while holding the line on taxes. I am committed to cutting unnecessary spending and addressing shared services and equipment.

Name at least two key issues happening within the town that you believe affect town residents -- positive or negative. What changes would you make, if any?

Our practice of open government has been very encouraging. We always welcome public comments at every board meeting and residents and business owners are coming to express themselves and their concerns. We are making our town more business friendly, encouraging economic growth and development, from which everyone benefits.

Why should DeWitt residents vote for you?

I have a vested interest in my community as not only a resident, but also a business owner. Working to cut any unnecessary expenses, addressing shared services and equipment and encouraging smart growth and development benefits everyone in our community. I am the voice of those I represent and I bring their concerns to light.
