Councilor-at-Large Van Robinson endorsed Stephanie Miner for Mayor of Syracuse on Monday Sept. 28 in Hanover Square at The World Lounge. The endorsement announcement was the kick-off to a Democratic Party unity event hosted by Robinson.
Robinson is running unopposed to become the next president of the Syracuse Common Council, a position now held by Bea Gonzales.
"We need to help elect Stephanie Miner as our next Mayor of Syracuse and starting today I will throw all of my support to her," Robinson said. "Today our paths are now merged to change the face of our city government."
Miner thanked Robinson for his support and said she looked forward to working with him to bring positive changes to Syracuse.
"We are here with a shared commitment: a commitment to closing the achievement gap in our schools and to providing all families a safe and viable future. We are committed to creating one city," Miner said.
