Liverpool High School graduate honored at memorial mass

Memorial to honor Deputy Glenn Searles of the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department

Today, Wed. Nov. 25, members of the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office will pay tribute to Deputy Glenn M. Searles during a memorial mass that will begin at 12:10 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 259 E. Onondaga St., Syracuse.

Searles died six years ago, after sustaining fatal injuries while assisting a stranded motorist on the night of Nov. 29, 2003.

Searles, a graduate of Liverpool High School, joined the

Onondaga County Sheriff's Office in January of 2002. Searles is remembered as a dedicated professional, proud to wear the uniform of the county sheriff's office and an enthusiastic person with a true passion for helping his community
