B'ville Rotary to host annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party

The Baldwinsville Rotary Club will host its annual Senior Citizen Christmas Party Wednesday Dec. 9 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on Route 31 in Baldwinsville.

Doors will open at 11 a.m. with the meal being served at noon. Highlights of the day include Joe Trionfero providing music for all, a raffle for stockings filled with goodies, a 50/50 drawing and what Christmas Party would be complete without a visit from Santa.

All senior citizens that are residents of Baldwinsville are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is a must and can be done by calling Canton Woods Senior Center. Interested diners can call 638-4536 for details on how to get registered. The deadline is Monday Dec. 1. No walk-ins will be accepted.

As in previous years, Rotarians will also deliver meals to those who are disabled and unable to attend. Recipients must be home at time of delivery, which will be approximately from noon to 1 p.m. Home deliveries must also register through Canton Woods Senior Center.

The Baldwinsville Rotary Club is a community service organization that has been supporting Baldwinsville for 37 years. They also participate in service programs on a broader scope through Rotary International; a network of over 33,000 clubs worldwide. In addition to the Senior Citizen Christmas Party the club hosts the annual Seneca River Days each July, provides dictionaries to every third grader in the Baldwinsville school district, sponsors incoming and outgoing students participating in the well-known foreign exchange program and much, much more.
