Solar Panels installed at Sustainability Showcase Syracuse

Solar Liberty Construction began to install 49 SunPower 230 watt Solar

Panels at the City of Syracuse Sustainability Showcase (Formerly Known as City Hall Commons Atrium).

The panels are being installed on a customized platform constructed by the City of Syracuse Skilled Trades. Each panel must be placed at a 22-degree angle facing due south.

Electrical power will be offset by the solar panels installed on the roof.

In October 2008, Mayor Driscoll held a reception to highlight the "green" components of the space as well as showcase the environmental and sustainable initiatives going on throughout Central New York. The renovation has transformed this underutilized space into a year round,
