Janet Brown, soprano, will perform a recital of art songs at Liverpool First United Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Sunday Nov. 22. She will be accompanied by Sar-Shalom Strong on the piano. The free event is sponsored by Joyful Noise: Concert Series for the Community. All are welcome to attend.
Brown has sung extensively in the area, performing with the Syracuse Symphony, as well as other symphony orchestras throughout the North East. She has been praised by critics for her warm, clear voice and direct expression. Strong has many solo and collaborative successes to his credit in his piano performance career, which spans more than 25 years.
The fall season of concerts concludes at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 with a recital of violin sonatas by internationally known artist Irina Muresanu, accompanied by Robert Auler on the piano.
