Rotary delivers dictionaries

Rotarians Jacquie Olmsted and Norma Widmann, and foreign exchange student Lara Van Braam, a 12th grader at Baker High School, distributed dictionaries last Friday to third grade students at Elden Elementary School. The school was just one of several stops Baldwinsville Rotarians made in the past couple of weeks delivering 503 dictionaries to third-grade students throughout greater Baldwinsville. Dictionary drops were also made at McNamara, Reynolds, Palmer and Van Buren elementary schools, St. Mary's, Baldwinsville Christian Academy and to home-schooled children.

Lara Van Braam, who came to Baldwinsville through her participation in the Rotary Exchange Program, distributes dictionaries to third-grade students at Elden. She later shared details about herself such as she is from southwest Germany, she has driven on the audubon numerous times and that she hopes her year at Baker "will be a fun year."
