The Greater Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its seventh annual "Lights on the Green" Silent Auction from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday Dec. 4 at the Whitetail at Woodcrest Golf Club. The event features table top trees and wreathes decorated for the holidays, donated by local businesses. The silent auction also includes a variety of merchandise and gift certificates.
Chairperson Bill Baldwin said more than seventy five items have been donated for the event. Highlights include a one week stay at an ocean front vacation condo in Florida, a 2010 membership at Rogues Roost Golf Club, Syracuse University basketball tickets, dinners for two and many items from area merchants. Admission includes hors d'oeuvres and deserts provided by area restaurants and wine tasting. Baldwin says that attendance has grown each year as the Chamber helps to usher in the Holiday season.
Attendees are encouraged to help those in need at this time of year by bringing food or a monetary donation for the Sullivan Food Cupboard.
Pre-event tickets are $15 and are available at Oneida Savings Bank, Lamb's Ear, The Olive Branch Flower and Gift Shoppe, Curves and Fisher Bay Restaurant or they may be purchased at the door for $20.
