Baker teams place in Envirothon

Three teams of students from Baker High School competed in the 2009 Central New York Regional Envirothon at Baltimore Woods Nature Center in Marcellus on April 30.

The Envirothon tests students' knowledge on five topics - soils, wildlife, forestry, aquatics and a current environmental issue. Baker's B'ville Bees Team N took second place overall and first place in the wildlife and soils categories. The B'ville Bees Team M took third place overall in the competition.

Students who participated in the competition are: Jamie Aloi, Cameron Brown, Courtney Chapin, Julie Damiano, Matt Damiano, Samantha Hamm, Eric Hibbard, John Krisanda, Ryan Lawrence, Michelle Meyer, Gabrielle O'Melia, Rachel Radicello, Danielle Singer, Jessica St. Amand, Kelsey Wooley and Alex Zangari. Head Coach Mark Penhollow and assistant coaches Sheila Heaton and Sue DeLaurier instructed the students.
