Thursday's appearance at Pomodoro was Brewster's first official event since this the new line came out. It was also a way for her to connect with her customers as she chatted with each person in line to have their newest finds signed by the artist.
"It's really about when it meets the public and we see their reaction," Brewster said.
The public appeared to be thrilled with the latest designs coming from the local artist.
"I love it," said Sylvia Ramsdell of Auburn. "I think the colors and designs are prettier."
One of Brewster's designs includes Santa Claus and his eight reindeer -- and Ramsdell already has the magical reindeer. She needed to finish off her collection, so bought the Santa and was able to have it autographed by Brewster.
"I'm adding the Santa. I have all the reindeer," she said excitedly as she carried her bag of treats.
Fans came not only from Auburn and Skaneateles, but from across the region. Vincie Russell of Cicero waited patiently in line with her "second day of Christmas" ornament, two turtledoves which Brewster has interpreted as an actual turtle with two doves fluttering above its shell.
"I love everything about it," Russell said of the new line. "It's colorful, whimsical."
The turtledove piece has now completed the 12 days of Christmas at Russell's home as she had all the other pieces in the set.
She was first turned on to Brewster's designs when she saw them in gift shops. She'd laugh at the characters and simple get a good feeling when she saw them.
"I needed some of that in my house," she said.
