Manlius Police investigate possible abduction attempt

The Manlius Police Department is investigating a potential abduction attempt that occurred May 18 on Manor Drive.

A young girl told police she was riding her bike between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. when a man driving a red Toyota sedan pulled up next to her. The driver asked her to get into his car but the girl refused. She rode home safely without further incident.

The driver of the car is described as a white male in his 20s with a goatee and brown hair. He was wearing small sunglasses, a baseball cap and a blue T-shirt with lettering on the front, possibly reading "Jail Break").

The red Toyota sedan had rust on the passenger side and dark colored beads hanging from the rearview mirror.
