JE voters approve school budget, propositions

Voters in the Jordan-Elbridge Central School District voted "yes" to everything on the ballot tonight, except school board candidates S. Keith Chilson.

The $27,237,540 general fund budget passed 522-286. No tax increase is anticipated as a result of the budget.

Proposition 2 to purchase up to six passenger buses passed 541-282.

Proposition 3 to establish an operations equipment capital reserve fund of no more than $250,000 passed 490-320.

Proposition 4 to levy taxes to increase annual funding to Elbridge Free Library to $45,000 passed 524-282.

Proposition 5 to levy taxes to increase annual funding to Jordan-Bramley Library to $50,000 passed 511-293.

School board candidates Connie Drake, Penny Feeney and Erica O'Brien were elected to the JE Board of Education. Here is how the four candidates stacked up:

S. Keith Chilson, 375 votes

Connie Drake, 545 votes

Erica O'Brien, 509 votes

Penny Feeney, 548 votes
