WG holds mock DWI crash this morning

The flashing lights, sirens and crowds this morning at West Genesee High School were part of a simulated DWI crash - not a real cause for alarm.

The mock crash was held from about 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and involved Camillus police officers, WAVES volunteers, Fairmount Fire Department members, Air 1 helicopter, Buranich funeral home, and representatives from the district attorney's office. The event takes place before the senior ball tonight to help students understand the consequences of drinking and driving.
