Spanish Honor Society inducts new B'ville members

Fifty students at Baker High School were inducted into the Spanish Honor Society on May 1.

To be considered for the honor society, students have to maintain an 87 percent or higher average in their Spanish classes for three semesters (and then maintain that average once inducted along with completing volunteer work each semester). They also need to be in good standing with the school, commit to study Spanish through graduation from high school and fill out an application which includes a 200 word essay in Spanish on how the Spanish language will impact their future or why they continue to study the language.
