CNS boys tennis edges Auburn

With two big comebacks in doubles matches, the Cicero-North Syracuse boys tennis team rallied past Auburn last Monday afternoon, beating the Maroons by a score of 4-3.

Chris Caporuscio and Alex Zorn were two points from defeat in first doubles, but it rallied back and beat Eric Falacicchio and Greg Long 0-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4.

At the same time as this remarkable result, Mike Rodriguez and John Carey needed three tough sets to beat Tom Ferlenda and Brandon Emperato 7-5, 6-7, 6-3.

The other points proved simpler to achieve. Kaleb Bowers atoned for singles defeats by Mark Falinski and Kevin Tubolinio, as Bowers beat Bill Kick 6-1, 6-1. Also, Brandon Collins and Anthony Mann beat Dylan Carpenter and Joe Leogrande 6-1, 6-1.
