Sarah Brown and Karlyn Tupper converted goals 13 seconds apart to get WG in front, and DiFato's goal made it 3-0 and forced the Lakers into a timeout less than four minutes into the game.
It hardly stopped things, tough, as Tupper scored again 15 seconds after the timeout. Brown, Corso and DiFato all added goals, making it 7-0. Kuss, Luchessi and Shanley led a Wildcat defense that blanked Skaneateles for nearly 17 minutes before Katherine Pille got on the board.
The big damage had already been issued, though WG would double its output. At the forefront, DiFato piled up four goals and four assists, while Tupper also found the net four times and Kellyn Savage earned four assists of her own.
Brown had a three-goal hat trick as Corso scored twice. Bridget Alberts joined Savage in the one-goal column as Hudgins, Mara Guy, Kara Datellas and Mel Murphy each picked up one assist.
On the weekend, WG goes to Long Island for some scrimmages against some of that area's best teams, including Garden City (state Class B champions) and Shoreham-Wading River (state Class C champs). The Wildcats are back home Wednesday to face Honeoye Falls-Lima and take on Liverpool Saturday at 11 a.m.
