Downtown Writer's series celebrates National Poetry Month

The Downtown Writer's Group kicks of NATIONAL POETRY MONTH Friday, April 3 at 7:00 pm with a reading by poet Gary Copeland Lilley at the Downtown Writer's Center.

Gary Copeland Lilley is a graduate of the Warren Wilson Col lege MFA Program for Writers. He has received the Washington DC Commission of the Arts Fellow ship for Poetry. He is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently Alpha Zulu from Ausable Press. He lives in Swannanoa, NC, and teaches poetry in The Great Smokies Writing Program at the University of North Carolina-Asheville.
