Turning Stone wins Casino of the Year from ACM

The Oneida Indian Nation's Turning Stone Resort and Casino has been named Casino of the Year by the Academy of Country Music. The nominees were announced in February, and ACM today unveiled the awards that will not be televised during the April 5 live telecast on CBS. Other nominees for the Casino of the Year were Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario, Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, Calif., Mystic Lake in Minneapolis, Minn. And The Peppermill Resorts at Wendover in West Wendover, Nev.

Turning Stone has featured hundreds of performances by country music's top entertainers. This past year, headliners in the Showroom and The Event Center included Toby Keith, Randy Travis, Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gayle, Trisha Yearwood and Aaron Tippin.

The 44th Academy of Country Music Awards is dedicated to honoring and showcasing the biggest names and emerging talent in the country music industry.
