Baker senior to play solo with SSO

David Raschella, a senior at Baker High School, will play a solo with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra on March 22. He will perform the first movement of the Mozart Concerto No. 4.

Raschella, who plays the French horn, was one of only three students selected for a solo with the SSO through the Civic Morning Musical Youth Concerto Competition, held in February. He has been accepted to and plans to attend the Juilliard School of Music this fall. He has attended the Crane Youth Music Summer Festival, the NYSSA School of Orchestral Studies and was a member of the All-State Symphonic Band this school year.
