They're some of the students at Palmer who spent the most time reading over the course of the PARP program, which ran from the beginning of November until the end of January. Palmer students read a total of 12,000 books. The program, sponsored by the school's PTA, is designed to help students develop a love of reading for enjoyment. Over the course of 13 weeks, students participated in weekly activities that reinforced good reading habits including two book exchanges, a book fair and a family night featuring a reading of "The Polar Express," followed by a presentation of the movie adaptation.
