B'ville: Social studies family tree project

(From left) Heidi Briggs, Raeshaun Jones, Micah Johnson and Brandon Azzato display the projects they created while they were studying immigration in their U.S. history class at Baker High School. Students were required to research their family histories and create a 3-D family tree. They also conducted interviews with family members to review their oral family histories. A final piece of the project was to make a heritage box, in which they placed at least eight items that were significant to their families, including recipes, flags, photos and letters.
