A public hearing in the town of Skaneateles that was cancelled Tuesday evening has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. March 11 at the Skaneateles Fire Department.
The continuation of the hearing, regarding a permit to allow mining in Shepard Settlement was submitted by Cemento for approval by the town, was scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Skaneateles Fire Department. However, there was a water issue at the firehouse and the meeting was cancelled.
According to the town, the portion of the hearing where town board members hear public comments has taken place and the upcoming portion of the hearing will be limited to the applicant's rebuttal.
The town board will still receive written comments until the public hearing is closed or they give a specific date to close the record.
