Lenox, Vienna targets of burglars

A Lenox residence is the latest in a trio of homes burglarized during the past week. State police say the most recent theft occurred yesterday on Oneida Valley Road in the town of Lenox. Jewelry, miscellaneous cash and golf equipment were reported stolen after the unknown subject or subjects entered the structure through a rear window.

In addition, two town of Vienna homes were entered.

A safe containing $20 to $40 in loose change, a book of checks and $4 in collector coins were taken from a Deeley Road home in Blossvale, and a Dell laptop (gray with a light blue top) is missing from a Route 49 home in North Bay.

Police urge anyone with information to contact Inv. Christopher Altimonda at Troop D Headquarters in Oneida. Those reporting information can be kept confidential, Altimonda said.

Altimonda can be reached at 366-6046 or 366-6000.
