CBA students portray famous scientists

Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) seventh grade students in Lisa Mather's science class recently completed a project sponsored by a MAC grant from McDonald's Corporation. This is the fourth consecutive MAC grant received by Mather.

The project was titled "Racing Through Time: A History of Scientific Thought."

The students were randomly assigned to conduct research on one of the top 120 scientists of all time, from the ancient Greeks all the way to the "inventor" of the Internet. They created a PowerPoint presentation for each scientist and dressed in character as that scientist.

The activity culminated on June 12, with a showing of the 90-minute group PowerPoint following a pizza and make your own sundae lunch.

Ryan Croucher of Baldwinsville portrays anthropologist, Louis Leakey.
