B'ville: Christopher collection complete

Historian librarians and volunteers of the Baldwinsville Public Library are excited to announce the culmination of a five-and-a-half-year project. The result is the creation of an 11-volume collection consisting of the writings of the late Van Buren Historian Anthony Christopher, who wrote the Messenger column "Sketches of Yesterday" from 1960 to 1975. Christopher's family gave the writings for publication.

The staff and volunteers retyped and annotated the articles where locations for the present population would be unclear. Until August these volumes will be located with the new books near the circulation desk. After August they will be located in non-fiction.

Watch for more of this marvelous collection with the addition of 350 pictures and more than 1300 slides.

Baldwinsville Public Library librarians Betty Stillwell, Corrinne Needham and Bonnie Kisselstein and volunteer, Karen Palmer look over "Sketches of Yesterday" by the late Anthony Christopher.
