This was where 60 artists each create a work of art in 60 minutes. The artwork was then raffled off.
Chick Roeschlaub of Whistlestop Florist chaired the event, which took place in the early evening, Friday June 19 around the Everson's reflective pool. This was one day after Nancy Cantor was honored by the Everson for her support of the arts in Syracuse.
"A busy museum is a great museum," commented Steven Kern the Director of the Everson on the magnificent turnout. He also said that the 60/60 really fit the Everson's mission: bringing the community together to celebrate art, working artists creating art, and all in an asthetic setting.
This is sure to become a regular event - keep an eye out for more news about arts in CNY on cnylink.com.
