On May 21, during the regular meeting of the Baldwinsville Board of Trustees, Sara L. Holden, a 1995 graduate of Baker High School, was sworn in as the newest member of the Baldwinsville Police Department.
During the ceremonies, Baldwinsville Chief of Police Michael Lefancheck commented that Holden is a veteran of the United States Air Force and currently owns a business in the village of Jordan. Chief Lefancheck also informed the audience that Holden is the daughter of David Clement, a former Baldwinsville Police Officer during the 1970s and Dorothy LeBlanc, who worked for several years in the Baldwinsville Village Clerk's office.
Many former police officers, along with members of Holden's family and friends were on hand for the swearing-in ceremony. Holden, who is married and the mother of three children, began the police academy June 2 and will graduate later this fall.
