Oz-some B'ville writers

Abigail Wiegand (left), a fourth-grader at McNamara Elementary School, won first place in the third through fifth grade category of the Oz-Stravaganza Short Story Ending Contest, held as part of Chittenango's Oz-Stravaganza, an annual event that celebrates the life and works of L. Frank Baum, author of "Wonderful Wizard of Oz." Budding writers were invited to write the ending of a short story, the beginning of which was written by local writer Greg Ellstrom. Lauren Anthony (right), also a fourth-grader at McNamara, was the second place winner in the third through fifth grade group of the contest.
